Celebrating 4 Years of Innovative Mentoring

July is our "birthday” month here at the NCFDD and we’re jumping for joy! We opened our doors in July 2010 and this month we are celebrating the completion of our fourth year as an organization, winning an award for our visionary work in faculty diversity, and the opportunity to provide our unique form of mentoring and professional development for over 56,000 graduate students, post-docs and faculty members across the US.

And we’ve got lots of exciting things planned for you in July!

First and foremost, we’re hosting one of our most popular workshops on July 15th "Five Secrets to a Super Productive Summer”. And we're giving you a special gift: a free 14-Day Writing Challenge starting on July 21st. If you need a boost in your summer writing, please join us (registration info below). But even more importantly, we've been working hard to create some exciting new updates to our Faculty Success Program and you'll get a chance to take a sneak peek in the 14 Day Challenge.

We’ve also got a slate of great training workshops this month! I will be teaching this month’s core curriculum workshop: The Art of Saying ‘No’. DoVeanna Fulton will be facilitating a guest expert workshop on the How to Approach the Job Market After Tenure. Julie Artis will be offering a new multi-week course for Department Chairs on How To Balance Teaching, Research (And Life!) While Transitioning Into An Administrative Role. And back by popular demand, Chavella Pittman will be teaching her multi-week course entitled Teaching In No Time: How To Plan Now for A Stress-Free Semester.

We believe that our rapid growth over the past four years is because we genuinely love serving you, we offer a unique form of mentoring, AND we're relentless about continuous improvement. We hope you'll connect with us during our month of celebration!
