Our summer of productivity is well underway at NCFDD! We just kicked off our largest summer sessions of Faculty Bootcamp (873 boot campers and alumni) and Dissertation Bootcamp(226 dissertation writers and alumni). These numbers are exciting for us because they mean we are working directly to achieve our mission: to help as many faculty, graduate students, and post-docs as possible to truly THRIVE in the Academy.

We define THRIVING as the combination of explosive research productivity and having a full and healthy life beyond campus. Because we've helped many academics move from surviving to thriving, we are delighted to see our bootcamps growing, our membership increasing, and our campus workshops expanding (like the recent one at Brown University, pictured here).

This month, we want to ask you: 1) Are you thriving in your academic career and life? and 2) Do you have the tools you need to work and live at your highest potential? If you're looking for more support or ways to stretch and grow, we have plenty of opportunities for you to do so this month:

  • We can help you to overcome writing procrastination with our core curriculum webinar: Moving from Resistance to Writing.
  • We're offering a multi-week course on How to Win an NIH Grant.
  • We're teaching on-campus workshops this month at Depaul University and the University of Wisconsin (both Madison and Milwaukee campuses).
  • We've got a great feature article on why role models matter, how to identify them, and a list of women of color scholars who were nominated as role models.

We are excited about all of the webinars, courses, and community we have to support you this summer! We hope these resources contribute to YOUR continued stretching, growing, and evolving!
