It’s time for a new year and a new academic term! The NCFDD team is feeling unusually excited about 2017 because we've got some exciting new developments coming your way!

It's no secret that we are deeply committed to continuous quality improvement in our content, technology and service delivery. To that end, we’re working on three exciting new directions this year. First and foremost, our software engineers are hard at work creating a custom-designed mentoring platform that integrates our FacultyDiversity.org and FacultyBootcamp.com sites (those are our software, design, and implementation team leaders hard at work in the picture!).
Secondly, we’ll be launching our new Post-Tenure Pathfinders program so that newly tenured faculty members can make informed, conscious and intentional movement forward. We’ve been beta-testing this program with great results and we’ll be making it more broadly available in 2017. And finally, we’ve decided to provide open access for all NCFDD members to the content of our Dissertation Success Program (no more separate registration, dissertation writers can jump in and access the content anytime from our main site). You can read more about the what, when and why of each of these new developments in our feature article below (New Year, New Directions).
In addition to these new directions, this month, we've brought back the popular multi-week course How to Balance Parenting and Productivity: A Realistic Approach for Faculty with Young Children with Professor Rebecca Davis. We're also offering your favorite core curriculum webinar: Every Semester Needs A Plan with Professor Rachel McLaren. Strategic planning is a powerful first step towards aligning your time with your long-term personal and professional goals. And we're having a special 4-Day Membership Drive (January 24-27) for new NCFDD Individual Members. If you’ve been waiting to become an NCFDD member: mark your calendar!
I hope you feel inspired by our new directions and supported by this month's training opportunities!
