What Faculty are Saying About the Faculty Success Program

"As a result of participating in the summer 2016 program, I have two articles that will be published in January 2017, I have maintained my fitness goals, my evenings and weekends are reserved for family and fun, I am writing daily, and I am much more confident and knowledgeable about how to successfully navigate the tenure-track."

"As a tenure-track assistant professor, mother, wife, and commuter, I struggled to maintain a healthy work-life balance prior to participating in the Faculty Success Program. Before participating, I spent too much of my time on teaching and service and less on writing and research. I also found myself working in the evenings and on the weekends—time that I promised to spend with my family. I was not happy with the direction that I was headed in, and I did not know what to do to change it. The Faculty Success Program literally helped me to get my whole life in order. The strategic planning, the weekly planning meetings, the homework, the phone calls with my group, the commitment to write at least 30 minutes per day, and the way the program encourages you to put your health and wellness first have left an indelible mark on my life. As a result of participating in the summer 2016 program, I have two articles that will be published in January 2017, I have maintained my fitness goals, my evenings and weekends are reserved for family and fun, I am writing daily, and I am much more confident and knowledgeable about how to successfully navigate the tenure-track. I am so grateful that this program exists!"
