I hope this message finds you rested and ready to roll into 2012! I can already tell that this is going to be an amazing semester because I have never had a more motivated group heading into the program. We don't formally begin until January 22nd, but before then there are several things that you can do to prepare for the program:
Go ahead and reserve time in your calendar for our weekly Community Calls. They will occur every Sunday night at 8:00pm EST, beginning on January 22nd and ending on April 29th. If you ever need to miss one, don't worry! We tape the calls and will have them available for you to download as an MP3 file and listen to at your convenience. You'll receive the call-in number and your PIN as we get closer to our first orientation call on 1/22.
As we start the program, I would love to connect with each of you individually for a brief one-on-one phone call to discuss your expectations, goals, concerns, and discuss your preferences for small groups. I use a service called Time Trade to schedule those meetings. It's very simple, just click here and you'll be led through a few quick steps to set up a mutually convenient appointment time.
It's no secret, your first homework assignment will be to create a Semester Plan. I will walk everyone through this process step-by-step during our Sunday Community Call, but if you're chomping at the bit to plan your semester, you can download the audio and slides from the Every Semester Needs A Plan tele-workshop that I gave last January.
I'm so glad you've made the commitment to participate in the Faculty Success Program this semester. You are joining an incredibly powerful community of support and accountability and I can't wait to see all the transformations that take place during our semester together!
