A Few Gifts for You!

Here are some additional training materials for you to download and enjoy at your convenience.

GIFT #1: The Sunday Meeting
If you would like to start having a Sunday Meeting to plan your week, you can follow along here (this is a hands-on workshop):
GIFT #2: The Art of Saying "No"
Many faculty (pre and post-tenure) find it incredibly difficult to sort out when, why and how to say "NO." In this monthly training call, you will learn: 1) the biggest mistakes faculty make in responding to requests, 2 ) how to identify and disrupt problematic patterns, and 3) our favorite strategies that you can implement immediately so you can add "no" to your vocabulary this semester.
GIFT #3: Cultivating a Network of Mentors, Sponsors & Collaborators

Plan how to expand your existing network to meet your current needs. Below is audio and slides of one of our workshops describing our mentoring model.

GIFT #4: Writing Accountability
A lengthier description of the different types of writing accountability structures I described in the workshop:

Resources & Referrals

Below are supportive resources and referrals that you can use to support your writing (nags, coaches, online writing groups, etc...). All of them can be found by clicking on the "Resources and Referrals" button in the left hand navigation bar.

Here's some that you specifically requested:

Monthly Webinars

The workshop you experienced was an example of the types of webinars we offer each month to our individual and institutional members. Our monthly training and guest expert webinars are a benefit of NCFDD membership. Once your account is set up, feel free to register and review our Upcoming Webinar Calendar. If you have any questions on how to set up your account, please email: support@facultydiversity.org.

Faculty Success Program

Some of you expressed interest in our 12-week Boot-Camp that runs every semester. You can read more about the program by clicking here. It's not for everyone, but if you need to make some radical changes in your productivity and/or work-life balance AND you know that you'll be most effective working within an intense community of support and accountability, then consider enrolling in our next session.

We look forward to hearing about all of your success!
