"The matching as buddies has been perfect -- we do a phone check-in once a week and encourage each other over text and IM during the week. She has been one of my accountability rocks this semester, and she is so great at helping me work through places I am stuck."

Good Morning,

We received so many questions after yesterday’s email inviting you to consider an NCFDD Individual Membership! So I thought I would send a quick note to describe all the exciting benefits we will be offering this year! If you've ever thought about becoming an NCFDD Individual Member, doing so before Friday at midnight will give you access to all of the amazing mentoring opportunities we have planned this year at a 25% discount.

Here's the link if you want to renew or upgrade your membership:

We hope this special 4-day discount offer encourages you to become an NCFDD Individual Member OR to invest in a gift membership for your favorite tenure-track faculty member, post-doc or graduate student mentees.

Benefits of Being a Member

In addition to the great benefits we've always offered our members (including the Monday Motivator, and monthly core curriculum webinars), here's what's BRAND NEW this year:

New Guest Expert Webinars

Our monthly guest expert webinars this Fall will focus on the theme of How to Be An Effective Public Intellectual:

And in the Spring, we will be focusing our guest expert webinars on the theme of Managing Incivility on Campus.

Multi-Week Courses

Individual Members have open access to ALL of our popular multi-week courses (no registration fees, no extra tuition, it's all included in your annual membership). These multi-week courses are offered by national experts on all the things you need to be successful in academia but nobody ever tells you. Our Fall multi-week course, How to Balance Parenting & Productivity: a Realistic Approach for Faculty with Young Children, begins in October.  To view all of our previous multi-week courses (that view all of our previous multi-week courses (that members can download on-demand), click here.

Just in case a deadline, a 25% discount and enhanced offerings aren't enough to entice you to become an NCFDD Individual Member, we're also throwing in an extra bonus that is only available until Friday at midnight:

BONUS: Pay your annual membership in 12 installments

That's right! A year's worth of our award-winning trainings, resources, guest experts, and access to our community can be yours for $15 per month for graduate students (and post-docs) and $30 per month for faculty. This bonus is designed especially for those of you whose college or university is in the process of considering an NCFDD Institutional Membership and you've been holding off from a paid membership until that decision is made. Go ahead and join! Just choose the installment plan and when your university becomes an Institutional Member, we'll cancel the remaining installments (upon request). That way you won't miss any of our resources while your college is figuring out the logistics. The installment payment option expires on Friday at midnight!

Here's the link so you can join the career-changing community that has helped graduate students, post-docs, and faculty members just like YOU to move from surviving to thriving in the Academy:
